A Surprise Proposal in Ischia, Italy
What started as a brand shoot quickly became one of the most special moments I've ever had the privilege of capturing.
Natasha and Dario booked me to create content for their clothing brand, WE HUSTLE, so we all flew out to the beautiful island of Ischia for a few days of shooting.
However, to mine and Natasha’s surprise, Dario has another plan…
WE HUSTLE BRAND
On our very first night, while Natasha was in the shower at our Airbnb, Dario came running into my room with a ring in his hand and the biggest smile on his face.
"Georgie - I'm proposing tomorrow!"
From that moment on, we were in full secret mission mode.
The original plan was to propose out on a boat, but after discovering it had accidentally been booked for the wrong day, we had to think quickly. After a lot of discreet planning, whispered conversations and some impressive stealth from Dario, we came up with a new plan.
Under the pretence that I was simply capturing content for the brand, Natasha had no idea what was about to happen.
As the sun began to set, the waiter casually walked over carrying the ring. Seconds later, Dario was down on one knee.
I had the privilege of capturing the entire proposal through both photo and video, documenting every smile, every happy tear and every emotion as it unfolded.
Once the excitement had settled and they'd had a few moments to soak it all in, I quietly left the newly engaged couple to celebrate together, knowing they'd have those memories to look back on forever.
